Across the state of Michigan, gas prices have fallen over the last month and are down eights cents to $3.55 a gallon. For diesel customers, prices are also down from a month ago – 10 cents to $4.35. These trends are in line with national ones, where gas prices are down 14 cents a gallon from last month. 

In the Saginaw-Bay City-Midland metropolitan area, prices are largely unchanged from where they were a month ago and remain at $3.56 a gallon. Prices are down almost 90 cents from this time last year, and are down sharply from the high of $5.19 that was seen in June 2022.
